▢1 lb brussel sprouts halved ▢3/4 cup water ▢2 tbsp butter ▢3 tbsp brown sugar ▢salt and pepper to taste
Add water and butter to the sprouts (cut side down) and bring to a boil over medium-high heat; cover and simmer for five minutes.
Reduce to low, stir in brown sugar, and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes while uncovered.
Return to high heat and sauté for an additional 5 minutes, or until the sprouts are tender and all the water has evaporated.
Eliminate from heat. With pepper and salt, savor!
