– 4 frozen salmon fillets – 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter – Salt and pepper to taste – 1 lemon, sliced – Fresh herbs (such as dill or parsley) for garnish (optional)
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
Prepare the Salmon: Place the frozen salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. There is no need to thaw the salmon; you can cook it directly from frozen.
Season the Salmon: Drizzle the olive oil or melted butter over the salmon fillets. Season generously with salt and pepper. You can also add other seasonings or spices to taste, such as garlic powder, paprika, or lemon zest.
Add Lemon Slices: Place lemon slices on top of each salmon fillet. This will add a fresh, citrusy flavor to the fish as it cooks.
Cover with Foil: Cover the baking sheet with a sheet of aluminum foil. This will help the salmon cook evenly and retain moisture.
Bake the Salmon: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
