Maple Pecan Pie Bars

– 1 cup all-purpose flour – 1/4 cup granulated sugar – 1/4 tsp salt – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into cubes For the Filling: – 3/4 cup packed brown sugar – 1/2 cup pure maple syrup – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted – 2 large eggs – 1 tsp vanilla extract – 1/4 tsp salt – 2 cups chopped pecans

Ingredients

Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.

Make the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, maple syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and well combined.

 Add Pecans: Stir in the chopped pecans until they are evenly distributed throughout the filling mixture.

Pour Filling Over Crust: Pour the pecan filling over the pre-baked crust, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.

Bake the Bars: Return the pan to the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown. The center should no longer jiggle when the pan is gently shaken.
