– 1½ cups (187.5 g) all-purpose flour – ½ teaspoon (0.5 teaspoon) baking powder – ½ teaspoon (0.5 teaspoon) salt – 1 cup (227 g) unsalted butter, softened but still cool – 1 cup (220 g) light brown sugar – 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar – 2 egg
Heat your oven to 350 degrees F and put the oven racks in the middle and low positions. Cover your baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt, and set it aside.
In a bigger bowl, use an electric mixer to blend the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until it's fluffy. Add the eggs one by one, then mix in the vanilla.
Add the flour mixture to the big bowl, and use a wooden spoon or spatula to mix it in. Then add the oats and chocolate chips.
Take about 2 tablespoons of dough, roll it into a ball, and place it on the baking sheet.
Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until the edges are golden brown but the middle is still light.
