▢16 oz salsa verde or tomatillo salsa ▢3 chicken breast boneless, skinless ▢1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil ▢1 tsp garlic salt (with parsley flakes) ▢pepper ▢1 – 2 cups Monterey Jack cheese shredded ▢cilantro for garnish
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Season the chicken with garlic salt and pepper after drizzling it with olive oil.
After placing salsa verde in a baking dish, incorporate chicken breast. Bake for approximately 35 minutes, or until 165 degrees internal.
After removing the chicken, garnish with grated cheese. Continue to broil for a few minutes longer.
Serve with rice, reserving a portion of the extra salsa verde for the marinade. Warmly sprinkle with cilantro before serving.
