1 pint strawberries, chopped ▢⅓ cup sugar ▢1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Chop one pint of strawberries.
Combine strawberries, sugar, and vanilla in a saucepan.
Cook on medium-high heat, stirring occasionally for about 15 minutes until juices form and the sauce thickens.
Remove from heat and puree about ½ the sauce, then mix back with the remaining strawberries
Keep refrigerated until serving.
