Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Vanilla: Mix in the vanilla extract until well combined.

Add Flour and Nuts: Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in the finely chopped pecans or walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
